Why I\u2019m Hooked on Failure (And You Should Be Too)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let me tell you about the time I messed up big time. When I first started my digital agency, I was so eager to grow that I rushed to build a team. I hired fast, without really thinking about fit or culture. And guess what? It cost me a couple of big accounts. Yep, it stung. Badly.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

But here\u2019s the thing:<\/em><\/strong> that failure taught me more than any win ever could. As Ed Catmull, co-founder of Pixar, put it: \u201cFailure is not a necessary evil, it is a necessary consequence of trying something new.\u201d<\/em> And man, did I learn that lesson the hard way.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here\u2019s the truth: <\/em><\/strong>failure is part of the game. You can\u2019t avoid it, no matter how many productivity hacks you try or how many motivational posts you save. Avoiding failure is like avoiding progress\u2014it just doesn\u2019t work. When I started out, I thought I\u2019d crush it from day one. Spoiler: I didn\u2019t. I made mistakes\u2014big, awkward, \u201cwhat was I thinking?\u201d mistakes. But each one taught me something I couldn\u2019t have learned from a book or a podcast. It forced me to adapt, to think differently, and to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Gary Vee says it best: \u201cYou have to be willing to fail. You have to be willing to embarrass yourself. You have to be willing to take the risk.\u201d<\/em> Losing those accounts was embarrassing, but it also forced me to slow down and build a team that wasn\u2019t just talented but also aligned with our vision.<\/p>\n

And here\u2019s the kicker: <\/em><\/strong>I\u2019m still failing. Constantly. Up until this day, I mess up, make wrong calls, and stumble. But that\u2019s the point. Failure isn\u2019t a one-time thing\u2014it\u2019s a constant companion on the journey of growth. It\u2019s not about avoiding it; it\u2019s about learning from it and moving forward.<\/p>\n

Failure isn\u2019t the enemy\u2014it\u2019s the teacher. It strips away the fluff and shows you what really matters. It pushes you to be better, to take risks, and to grow. And when you finally succeed (because you will), it\u2019ll feel even sweeter knowing you earned it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

So go ahead, fail. Fail hard, fail often, and fail forward.<\/em><\/strong> Trust me, it\u2019s worth it.<\/p>\n

Now, if you\u2019ll excuse me, I\u2019ve got a new idea to test\u2014and probably fail at. But hey, that\u2019s where the magic happens.<\/p>\n
